Comparison of cryptographic primitives used in elliptic curve cryptograpny on different hardware platforms
Brychta, Josef ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the implementation of variants of cryptographic libraries containing primitives for elliptic curves. By creating custom metering charts to compare each implementation. The main task was not only the implementation of libraries but also the design and implementation of test scenarios together with the creation of measurement methods for different libraries and hardware platforms. As a result, a number of experimental tests were conducted on different curves and their parameters so that the results of the work included complex problems of elliptic curves in cryptography. The main parameters were power, time and memory consumption.
Role of Intimacy and Love in Sect and in Minor Churches
Neubauerová, Eva ; Kotík, Michal (advisor) ; Martinová, Marta (referee)
This thesis is an attempt to extend the sociological discussion of a new perspective on the study of sects and minority churches. Within the theoretical background of the work a basic emphasis is given to defining the problem of sect, minority churches, ritual, intimacy and love in their conceptual and classificatory framework without subjective interpretation of the author. This thesis goes out from basic sociological concepts of each term. The main assumption of the thesis is the hypothesis that sects and minority churches can been somehow classified and typologized according to the ways how do they cooperate with intimacy and love in their rituals. The aim of this final thesis is to create this typology based for one thing on comparison of family life from major society with family life from examined groups and for other thing based on analysis of their rituals. The thesis is oriented only on groups derived from Christianity. The conclusion summarizes not only the results of the comparison and analysis of rituals, but also its limits.

Růžička, Jan ; Barša, Pavel (advisor) ; Slačálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Franěk, Jakub (referee)
"Dissintegration and Search for Order" Two basic variables in Shia Islam political philosophy abstract The aim of the thesis is to classify the form of political leadership and domination in Shia islam's political ideology, their development and ability to succeed in political reality. I especially focus on the Shia understanding of political power and its connection to infallible Imam as secular and religious leader of the Shia community. For analysis of the concepts I use the description of early Islam, including the Shia reasons for the dissolution of Muslim ummah, as well as the reasons that led to the multiple division of Shiism. I analyse specific examples of ideological break up of the Shia community (Ithnasharia, Isma'ila, Hashashins, Alawi, Duryz and modern Islamic Republic of Iran) and finally cardinal reformulation of understanding of political leadership and domination by Ayatollah Khomeini. His concept Wilāyat al-faqīh (Guardianship of the jurist) started the era of radical transformation of the Shia political ideology, although he wanted only to modernize it and not to establish a brand new set up. My aspiration is therefore to analyze whether era of multiple dissolutions of political order will still continue or whether concept of Wilāyat al-faqīh can represent final step to end "period of...

Kinghamová, Karin ; Šubrová, Anežka (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Daniela (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with different forms of family life in some new religious movements in the Czech Republic and their specific features. The study provides an overview of Czech family life and of the Czech religious scene so as to give an idea of what is considered usual in this country. A more in depth analysis considers the terms "new religious movements" and "sects", why they appear and who are the people who join them. It describes the mechanisms of these alternative religions, their variability, not forgetting the local legislative approach to religion. The second part of the thesis presents individual new religious movements with a general characteristic and a description of their family life with the help of specialized literature and interviews with members of specific religious societies.

Sects and New Religious Movements, Jehovah's Witnesses
HOVJACKÁ, Veronika
Religious groups are societies, which aims to transcendental realities, but are realized among particular people and in particular time and society. It is interesting to study the relationship between society as a whole and these sub societies. One way of how the main society expresses its relationship towards religious groups, in a broader sense, is the registration of these groups as a state recognized religion. This status is desired and appreciated by the religious groups as it can change their position in public eyes. This thesis is a reflection about how difficult, and maybe even deceptive, is looking for criterions for registration or not registration. It is simply about describing borders between the terms ``sect{\crqq} and ``church{\crqq}. Intuitively, this border is something quite clear, but when we need to decide for or against registration, intuitive criterions by themselves are not enough.
Public opinions about the problem of new religious movements and their possible danger in the regions of Ceske Budejovice and Klatovy
JINDROVÁ, Markéta
The problem of new religious movements is quite a current topic. Therefore, I have decided to write my thesis about this subject. The theoretical part contains the definitions of the basic terms, the characteristics of new religious movements, their catagories and characteristics of their victims, the context of new religious movements and the law, as well as the connection of religious groups and socially-pathologic phenomena. Each of the phenomena is attached to concrete examples of the social groups involved. Both qualitative and quantitative research was employed in the practical part. The methods that have been used to obtain this information were a survey and and interview, as well as the anaylsis of the data and content. One of the files for the survey was collected in the Klatovy Region, while the other was gathered from the people of the Ceske Budejovice Region. Thus, the acquired data were compared in order to reach the aim of the work. The two aims were set based upon the secondary data and one hypothesis was declared for each. The first aim, which was `to find out the public opinion on the problems of new religious movement{\crq}, was connected with the hypothesis `although the public is not sufficiently informed about the religious cults in the region, they are perceived as negative{\crq}. The other aim was to map the socially-pathological phenomena connected with the activity of the movements in these particular regions. Regarding that research, which was qualitative, the hypothesis was declared on the ground of the acquired data. Hypothesis No. 1 was verified. Based on an interview with local policemen, the other hypothesis was set: Although information about the socially-pathological phenomena connected with the activity of the movements reached the public, the Police of the Czech Republic do not have evidence of any crime of that character in the given regions. A booklet was put together, based upon the acquired information, giving the overall information about new religious movements, their characteristics and possible risks. In my opinion, the aim of my thesis was met. The research showed that the public awareness of new religious cults is rather low and the information is mostly distorted. The results of my work may serve as further insight into this problem and, threby it may become a stimulus to raise the state of awareness in this sphere.
